SavingTheYouth
My purpose for creating Save The Youth is to give the Youth a voice, a loud voice. I want them to know there is somebody that cares about them and will not judge them; I’m just a woman trying to make it in this evil place we call Earth, while raising a young daughter and son. I just want to lend a hear to listen and some words of encouragement to motivate the youth and inspire them. I have always loved kids and I have always been able to relate to young people. When I look at the Youth I see me. I always wished I had someone to reach out and save me and I didn’t. I felt like my savior didn’t come until I built a relationship with God. While on my journey building my relationship with God I have been inspired to live out my goals. One of my goals is to open a youth center. I always think about the money and how I would obtain a grant for my business and all those things which have kept me from starting. So I have decided NO more negative thinking I have to start somewhere so why not small. This is why I am going to use this Blog site, so the youth can come to me for advice, vent or just speak freely. I want this to become a community for the Youth. Somewhere they feel save, respected and important. I want to treat them like that black lady on Help “you are smart, you are kind, you are important”..LOL But seriously I want to be able to reach out and try to save as many young boys and girls as I can. I want to be a mentor to them. I want them to be able to feel comfortable enough to talk to me when they feel like they can’t go to a parent, friend or relative. When I look at today’s society I am really scared of what my kids have to face. I never would have dreamed of having to worry about the stuff I do now having a young daughter and son. When I was young it was bad but not this bad. Today’s society has no respect, no moral’s, no values, and no mind of their own. Everyone is busy trying to follow a trend we don’t have individuals we have groups. So I just want to show the youth there is so much more to life if they just see how precious their life is and the importance they have to the world. I read a quote it said “young people don’t need critics they need role models” some of the realest words I’ve ever read. The Youth can only follow what they are being shown. If all we are showing them is money, drugs, cars, clothes and sex, then that’s all they will be attracted to. I remember when I was growing up in the 90’s the O.G.’s never glorified being pimps and drug dealers. They actually carried themselves as business men, and they followed a code of respect and honor. These days instead of turning the kids to the schools like the O.G.’s did in my day we are turning the kids toward the streets with everything we are showing them. When I listen to Tupac’s interviews or his music I hear the pain he felt for the World and how he wished he could change everything bad he saw. I really feel the same way when it comes to these kids because I have my own and they don’t deserve the world we live in. I read a powerful quote this morning that said “There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them” Dr. Denis Waitley. This inspired me even more to take the necessary steps in Saving The Youth. I feel like if I want what I see to change I need to be a part of the change.
I want teens, and these young adults to come to me with questions, concerns, problems, issues, about school, family, relationships, if they have a parent on drugs, in jail, pregnant teens, if they need to vent because somebody has made them mad, anything they have on their minds and they feel there is no one they can talk to or relate with then they can send me an email at savingtheyouth@hotmail.com with their name, phone number, best time to call and short description of what’s on their mind and I will get back with them within 24 hrs. We can talk as long or as short as they want. I just want them to know somebody is here for them!!

You would be a good leader for the youth, because you can relate, your still hip to what’s going on you could really help guide them in the right direction. I pray you go far with this savingtheyouth because the youth need somebody to follow.
